Chance Of A Lifetime Dachshund Rescue
Chance of a Lifetime Dachshund Rescue (COALDR) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dog rescue focused on the rescuing, rehabilitation, and rehoming of dachshunds and other small breeds. The brand was conceptualized in memory of one of the founders dog, Chance. As a dog that was paralyzed and told he would never walk again, he was given love and patience, and beat all of the odds against him. Chance “wore his heart on his chest” due to the care and acceptance that he recieved by his adopted family, and was ultimately given the chance of a lifetime to rebuild himself. All dogs that come into COALDR’s care will also be given the chance to wear their hearts on their chest as well.
COALDR has a special place in Nicole's heart, as she used to dog-sit Chance, whom the rescue was founded after. He was the sweetest and most lovable dog, and helping to start up this rescue was the perfect opportunity to honor Chance for all that he was. Volunteering, serving on the leadership board, and being the graphic designer of the rescue has brought Nicole much joy. As the graphic designer, Nicole has gotten to create the organization's branding, started and maintains the website, and has also crafted event flyers, social media graphics, and fundraising items.
Nicole Soncrant Designs has created various fundraiser items for COALDR to raise funds and awareness for the rescue. For two consecutive years, Nicole Soncrant Designs has created hand designed items that are put on sale to support the rescue’s efforts through events, festivals, fairs, and online auctions. These items include official merchandise, seasonal apparel, Christmas ornaments, wooden leash holders, and custom pet portrait fridge magnets. Nicole Soncrant Designs has also helped to raise over $1,600.00 from T-shirt design fundraisers on Bonfire. While also maintaining the updating and usability of the rescue’s website, over 47,000 site sessions have been conducted since the launch of COALDR.
